James Hardie fiber cement on Indianapolis homes
Painted wood siding suits almost any house, but it needs scraping and repainting, and it rots where water sits against it. James Hardie fiber cement gives you the same look in heavier, more rigid boards that stay straight on the wall. The sheathing behind them stays covered, and the house keeps the look you chose.
Call (866) 242-1832 when you’re ready to price new siding, or when hail has chipped a board and you want it looked at. We take on one side of the house, such as a fiber cement front with vinyl elsewhere, or a full re-side with Hardie® Trim at the corners and windows.
Our Indiana team installs James Hardie siding on homes in Indianapolis, Carmel, Zionsville and Westfield, and Dynamic Restoration has been in business since 2008. We hang Hardie® Plank lap, Hardie® Panel vertical and Hardie® Shingle siding. The free inspection comes first, with photos of every wall and the trim, often by drone, so your price is based on your house.
You can order the boards with a ColorPlus® finish, which James Hardie bakes on at the factory in a controlled setting, so the color is consistent from board to board. Or choose primed boards, painted after they’re hung in any color you like.

Indianapolis James Hardie siding for your home
Fiber cement is heavy and takes more labor to cut and hang, and every board and trim piece is fastened to James Hardie’s installation instructions.
- The look of painted wood, up close
Hardie® Plank comes smooth or with a wood grain, and Hardie® Shingle siding mimics classic cedar shake on a gable or accent wall.
- Made for snow, ice and freeze-thaw
James Hardie describes its HZ5® products as suited to freezing temperatures, snow and ice, and we confirm your zone with its zip code lookup before we order.
- Boards that won’t rot like wood
Made from Portland cement, sand, water and cellulose fibers, the boards don’t rot the way wood does, and James Hardie describes them as non-combustible.
- Color you can change later
Fiber cement can be repainted, so when you want a new color, you repaint the siding instead of replacing it.

Questions about James Hardie siding
Don’t see yours? Call (866) 242-1832 and ask.
Call (866) 242-1832What warranty comes with James Hardie siding?
James Hardie sets its own warranties. Its website lists a transferable 30-year non-prorated limited substrate warranty on Hardie® fiber cement siding and trim, and a separate 15-year limited warranty on ColorPlus® finishes that covers paint and labor. The terms and conditions are James Hardie’s and can change, so we go over the current warranty for the products you choose before the job starts.
Is fiber cement worth it over vinyl?
If you plan to stay in your home a long time, want the look of painted wood or like the idea of changing colors later, fiber cement is worth pricing. It costs more than vinyl to buy and install, because the boards are heavy and take more labor to cut and hang. Vinyl is still the practical choice on a tighter budget. We’ll price both at your free inspection so you can compare.
How does fiber cement handle hail and freezing winters?
James Hardie describes its siding as resistant to hail damage and says its HZ5® products resist shrinking, swelling and cracking even after years of wet or freezing conditions. Large hail can still chip a board or mark the finish, and James Hardie offers touch-up products for nicks and scrapes. We check the siding on every storm inspection and photograph any damage we find.
