Looking after the roof on your Lawrence home
A Lawrence house stays dry and holds its value only while the roof above it is sound. By Census estimates for 2020–2024, the median home here was built in 1992, and nearly three in ten went up during the 1990s alone. If yours still has its original shingles, they’re around 30 years old, which is worth knowing before the first leak or a buyer’s inspection.
Call (866) 242-1832 if you see curling shingles, a damp patch on the attic decking or siding that worked loose in the last storm. We take on one-off repairs and whole exteriors alike. That might mean resealing a single vent boot on a 1960s ranch, or a new roof, siding and gutters on a 1990s two-story.
Dynamic Restoration opened for business in 2008, and our Indiana crews work Lawrence and the rest of the northeast side, along with Fishers and Greenfield. They put on GAF shingle roofs, hang vinyl and James Hardie siding and form seamless aluminum gutters on site. Your first visit is a free inspection with a photo set that often includes drone shots, and GAF has certified us as a Master Elite® contractor.
About one Lawrence home in five dates from the 1950s and 1960s, and those houses are often on their third or fourth roof, sometimes with an old layer still underneath. The 1990s homes are more likely to have their first roof, along with rubber pipe boots that tend to crack before the shingles give out.

What Lawrence homes need

After a storm on the northeast side
Hail and straight-line wind can come through Lawrence in spring and summer. After 30 years in the sun, a shingle cracks or tears loose more easily than a new one, and the damage is easy to miss from the ground. We check the roof, siding and gutters, take pictures of everything we find and go through them with you.
When the damage is worth a claim, we meet your adjuster at the house, show them what we documented and help with the paperwork. The decision on coverage belongs to your insurance company.

Replacing a 1990s roof in Lawrence
A Lawrence home built in the 1990s may still have its first roof, or a second one that is wearing thin. We strip it to the deck, replace soft boards and install a complete shingle system to the manufacturer’s exact specifications. As a GAF Master Elite® contractor, we can register GAF’s enhanced warranties on qualifying complete GAF roofs, including the Golden Pledge®, which GAF offers only through Master Elite contractors.

Siding for ranches and two-stories
Siding on a 30- or 60-year-old house can be faded, cracked or loose at the seams, and the trim behind it may be soft. We replace it with vinyl, insulated vinyl or James Hardie fiber cement. You pick the profile and the color, and we handle removal, installation and clean-up.

Gutters and guards that keep up
Gutters that overflow every fall send water down the fascia and against the foundation. We put up 5″ and 6″ seamless aluminum gutters, formed on site to fit each run. Gutter Cap guards keep the leaves out, so you aren’t on a ladder every October.

Each stage comes with an update, from the inspection photos and the work we propose to the day the crew is due and the final check of the finished roof.
- A 30-year roof, judged honestly
If your 1990s roof still has years left, the photos show it and we tell you so, rather than recommending a replacement it doesn’t need yet.
- Ready for straight-line wind
We nail each course in the zone the shingle maker marks and run a starter strip along the eaves and rakes, where wind usually starts to lift a roof.
- New boots and vents with the roof
On a replacement we put in new pipe boots and vents along with the shingles, so the seals that usually fail first on an older roof start fresh too.
- Both layers off a ranch roof
If a 1950s or 1960s ranch has a newer layer over an old one, we remove both, so the decking gets checked and the new roof carries no extra weight.

Questions from Lawrence homeowners
Something else on your mind? Call (866) 242-1832 and ask.
Call (866) 242-1832Do you work on homes built on the old Fort Benjamin Harrison grounds?
Yes. We serve all of Lawrence, including the neighborhoods on the former post. If your neighborhood has an association that approves exterior changes, we’ll give you the product names, colors and photos to submit before work starts.
My roof is from the 1990s and doesn’t leak. Is an inspection still worth it?
Yes. A free inspection costs you nothing and tells you where you stand. On an older roof we look for granule loss, cracked or curling shingles, worn pipe boots and soft spots in the decking, and we photograph all of it. If the roof has years left, we’ll say so. If it doesn’t, you can plan a replacement instead of waiting for a leak.
When do I pay for the work?
Payment is made when the job is complete, after we walk the finished work with you in a final inspection. If you’d like to spread the cost out, financing is available.
